Senior Backend Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer with strong experience in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend software development, cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure, and the deployment and scaling of applications across multiple operating systems and environments.

This role will involve designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining reliable, scalable backend services and cloud-based infrastructure. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with modern DevOps tools and technologies to improve deployment efficiency, system reliability, and infrastructure scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend software applications and services.
• Build, deploy, and manage cloud-based systems using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
• Use Kubernetes to orchestrate containers, manage workloads, and support scalable application deployments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform or similar automation tools.
• Build, manage, and deploy containerized applications using Docker.
• Configure and maintain deployment environments across multiple operating systems and systems.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and operational workflows.
• Troubleshoot backend services, cloud infrastructure, deployment issues, and system performance problems.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other technical team members to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• Follow best practices for security, monitoring, availability, and performance in cloud environments.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in backend software development.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and application deployment.
• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Docker and containerized application development.
• Experience deploying and maintaining software across multiple operating systems or computing environments.
• Understanding of scalable infrastructure design, system reliability, and application performance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a technical team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated software deployment.
• Familiarity with Linux administration, networking, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows.
