Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications safely and consistently in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies
• Manage PCU-level patients including those requiring cardiac drips (amiodarone, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, Lasix, milrinone, heparin), central lines, chest tubes, TR bands, groin management, Foley catheters, and CBI
• Provide advanced respiratory support including high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and Vapotherm
• Serve as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and communicate with patients, families, and caregivers
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and act as a patient safety advocate

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam prior to or at start (study guide available)
• Local candidates not accepted — travel or non-local candidates only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with post Cath Lab care strongly preferred as unit is transitioning to expanded PCT scope
• CCRN or PCCN certification preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred
