Medicaid Coordinator

Medicaid Coordinator - SNF Located in Staten Island, NY

Salary: $80K to $85K range

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have 5+ years’ experience in long term care as a Medicaid coordinator
• Looking for an experienced individual who has worked in a skilled nursing facility within the 5 boroughs of N.Y.C
• Must have experience in doing Medicaid applications, Medicaid recertification, Medicare part A & B Billing
• Must have experience in HMO Billing, following up on o/s claims, patient funds
• Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. HS diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of state and federal nursing home guidelines
• Knowledge of how to calculate medical billing codes
• Strong working knowledge of Excel

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with medicaid applications, recertifications and renewals
• Maintain, track, and update client records in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations
• Act as a liaison between clients, healthcare providers, and social services agencies to coordinate care and resolve coverage issues
