Registered Nurse | RNStatus: FT & PRNSchedule: Days FT & PRN all shiftsWage: $44 - $50/hr DOELocation: Avamere Rehabilitation at Ridgemont - 2051 Pottery Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessing residents, administering medications, monitoring health, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, while also supervising nursing staff.Essential Duties and Job ResponsibilitiesPatient Assessment and Care Planning:Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.Regularly evaluate and update care plans based on residents' changing needs and responses to interventions.Medication Administration and Monitoring:Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.Monitor residents' responses to medications and treatments, documenting any adverse effects or changes in condition.Vital Signs and Health Monitoring:Monitor and document vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.Observe residents for any signs of illness or changes in condition and promptly report any concerns to the physician.Wound Care and Other Specialized Care:Collaborate with wound care specialists or other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal wound healing.Supervision and Training:Supervise and provide guidance to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs).Provide orientation and training for new staff members.Communication and Documentation:Maintain accurate and complete documentation of residents' care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and address resident needs.Quality Improvement:Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines for nursing care in skilled nursing facilities.
