Software Engineer - Rust

Joining a newly formed team, the full-time Software Engineer - Rust will focus on building and enhancing Rerun's commercial offerings for ingesting, indexing, and querying multimodal data at scale in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain backend systems for multimodal data processing and visualization Collaborate with team members to design and architect solutions while taking ownership of projects Investigate and optimize data-intensive systems, ensuring performance and scalability Required qualifications 3-5 years of experience with async Rust or a strong background in C/C++ with a willingness to learn Rust Experience working on backend systems in a production environment Familiarity with data-intensive systems and concepts such as filtering, indexing, or query execution Good communication skills in English for effective collaboration in a remote team A curious mindset with a helpful attitude towards problem-solving
