Advanced Lead Pharmacist, PharmD Preferred - Evening Shift

Join a dynamic inpatient pharmacy team as a Lead Pharmacist on the evening shift, where you will assess, plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate pharmacy services and activities. Collaborate closely with the Pharmacy Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. You will supervise pharmacists and support staff, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and participating in hiring decisions.

Emphasizing quality assessment and continuous improvement, you will integrate these principles into daily workflows. This role requires independent judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills to meet and exceed customer satisfaction consistently. You will also perform staff-related and distributive pharmacy duties as needed.

Education and Formal Training

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or a master's degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.
• Current valid pharmacist license in the relevant U.S. state is mandatory.

Experience

• At least one year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, healthcare team members, and physicians.
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization abilities, along with effective problem and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and leadership in managing and supervising personnel fairly and efficiently.
• Basic computer proficiency including word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity sufficient to accurately interpret physician orders and enter data into pharmacy systems.
• Hearing ability adequate for effective communication in person and by phone.
• Physical capability to move throughout the department, reach high and low inventory areas, and handle moderately heavy objects.

This position serves a broad regional community in the Southeastern United States, providing comprehensive pharmacy services within a large multi-hospital health system.
