About the Position: The individual in this role will serve as a SNAP/TANF Eligibility Supervisor in the Sunflower County MDHS office reporting directly to the Sunflower County Office Director. This individual will be responsible for ensuring his/her direct reports are knowledgeable of, and adhering to, federal, state, and agency policies and regulations during the initial and recertification eligibility processes. The individual will also have weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities. Annual salary is based on a candidate's experience in determining SNAP and/or TANF eligibility.
What you'll need to be Successful: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good customer service skills, and an ability to balance a large workload while managing others is also required.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:Experience in determining SNAP and/or TANF eligibility is required.
