Production Supervisor Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join our VALUES based organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production co-workers to ensure smooth production of product in the location. Starting Salary: $65k - $80k depending on experience. Responsibilities include enforcing safety procedures and policies and ensuring a safe work environment free of hazards. Ensuring compliance with OSHA and other government agencies. Ensuring proper compliance and execution of HAZMAT program. Ensuring co-workers are following safety rules and demonstrating safe working behavior. Driving overall quality for product built, shipped to and received by customer. Striving to ensure quality outcome of product the first time, responsible for correcting quality errors and fixing processes to avoid future quality errors from occurring. Demonstrating equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assigning employees to experienced workers for training. Collaborating with human resources to resolve employee concerns, complaints, or grievances. Reading and analyzing charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Setting and monitoring product standards, examining samples of raw productions or directing testing during processing to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality. Ensuring inspection of materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Managing production with minimum waste and quality errors. Participating in monthly safety committee meetings. Timely investigating and completing a thorough accident investigation report with corrective action input and having an action plan developed to correct safety issues. This includes taking the injured employee to receive the proper medical attention. Conducting monthly site safety inspections and conducting weekly toolbox safety talks. Required experience and skills include a high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred, five or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment with two years in a leadership role, and five plus years in management/supervisory position with two years in a manufacturing facility.
