About the Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule: 48 hours per week guaranteed with overtime after 48 hours; 6-week contract; every other weekend required; rapid response assignment

• High-volume Level 2 Trauma Center with over 100,000 annual visits and comprehensive stroke center designation
• 101-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratios for medical cases; experience serving a vibrant multi-cultural community representing over 120 languages
• Cerner EMR system; unit equipped with Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Team-based environment with dedicated support staff including techs, unit clerks on all shifts, and specialized cardiac monitoring units
• Comprehensive 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour unit-based shift training
• Opportunity to work across all sections within the Emergency Department with a collaborative, welcoming team

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Level 2 Trauma Center and high-volume emergency experience strongly preferred
• Current certifications required prior to start date: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department; no external floating required
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
