We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our Quality and Professional Development team. The Quality Specialist is responsible for developing and maintain systems that support continuous quality improvement across the organization. This role will focus on designing and implementing auditing programs, reviewing audit systems, conducting feedback reviews, and assisting in implementing corrective actions. The Quality Specialist will work directly with residential programs to perform chart reviews and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This is a hybrid of an administrative and hands on position focused on quality assurance and compliance oversight. Payrate: $20.00 per hour Schedule: full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm Essential Job Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing quality measurement systems and plans aligned with MHA’s strategic goals, including participation in the annual quality plan preparation. Promote data use across the organization by establishing benchmark quality statistics and collaborating with external organizations for benchmarking. Monitor and interpret trends while staying updated on quality standards and regulations. Support quality management efforts and reduce compliance risks by ensuring adherence to quality policies and procedures. Integrate quality improvement initiatives into core functions, working with leadership to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee the collection of quality metrics, ensuring data accuracy and compliance for reporting purposes. Develop audits to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Advocate for policies that support the organization’s mission and establish processes for their ongoing review and revision. Analyze data trends and collaborate with programs to implement effective improvement processes. Provide feedback and track results, monitoring corrective actions. Participate in committees focused on quality management and performance improvement, facilitating compliance reviews. Prepare documentation for state audits and collaborate with administrative departments during audit processes. Support the overall compliance activities of the agency across the areas. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field (e.g. Healthcare Admin, Human Services, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or related discipline). Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively while collaborating with teams. Familiarity with Continuous Quality Improvement principles, quality benchmarking, and process management tools. Experience in developing training programs that align with MHA's mission and CQI initiatives. Knowledge of statistics, data collection, and outcome measurement. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and database applications. Capable of implementing organizational programs and coordinating staff efforts to meet objectives. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in mental health, substance abuse, and healthcare. Skilled in organizing and analyzing quality data, identifying errors, and implementing corrections. Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach. Strong oral, written, and organizational abilities.
