Diesel Mechanic/Technician

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Starting hourly pay $36.00 plus shift differential. In September, base pay increases to $37.25/hour. $1,500 sign-on bonus available. Shift differential extra $4.63/hour for pension benefit. Essential Functions for Diesel Mechanic You will maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment. Working on Freightliner tractors Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests Perform system repairs to include engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive-train, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C. Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal mandated safety inspections and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.
