Project Manager 2 - Richmond, VA (Hybrid)

Project Manager 2 Department: Department of Corrections (DOC) Job Responsibilities Define, document, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget. Develop project charter and work plan, tracking budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics. Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management artifacts (including but not limited to risk assessments, project charter, RACI matrix, communication plan, project schedule, status reports). Ensure applicable project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately. Manage projects within the larger VITA procurement and project management governance processes. Provide requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation as needed. Provide oversight to ensure projects are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the Agency. Create and implement a communication plan. Ensure relevant staff are informed of upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring smooth completion of work responsibilities. Identify, track, and ensure resolution of risks/issues and removal of barriers. Perform financial and administrative functions to ensure successful execution of projects. Prepare financial or budget plans and allocation along with the planning and finance department in accordance with each requirement. Provide detailed reports to stakeholders and agency management with respect to the status of the project and expenditures. Facilitate project conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notes. Be a consultant to stakeholders and communicate project status throughout the project lifecycle. Additional required job duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience Experience in MS Office 365/MS Project required MS Azure DevOps experience Four years of experience in the following Project Planning/Execution/Reporting/Closing Problem Resolution/Critical thinking Leading work groups Defining Schedules/Milestones Large System Implementation Experience with Agile & Waterfall Methodologies PMP Certification (not required but highly desired) Requirements Elicitation/Documentation/Analysis experience Systems/Integration/UAT Testing (including planning, execution, resolution, reporting experience) Location: 6900 Atmore Dr, Richmond, VA (Hybrid) Status: Full-time, Contract Salary: $90K-95K per annum with benefits Citizenship: US Citizenship or Green card holder YSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
