Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman ElectricianNHI Commercial is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in multi-family housing and commercial environments while ensuring all work meets code requirements and safety standards.Primary Responsibilities:Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in multi-family housing and commercial buildingsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsInstall conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid), wiring, panels, and fixturesPerform electrical upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenanceEnsure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codesCollaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other tradesMaintain a clean and safe work environmentTrain and mentor apprentices when neededAccurately document work performed and materials usedRequirements:Valid Journeyman Electrician license3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferredStrong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety proceduresStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportationPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at heightsAbility to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, job sites)Most of the projects that are performed by NHI Commercial are directly related to multi-family housing. This means that in many cases, projects are performed within occupied units and communities, and it is the expectation of NHI Commercial that all employees act with a high level of professionalism.Pay Range: Up to $50/hr. (Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications)Benefits Include: Health/Dental/Paid Vacation/401(k)Many jobs are based on government contracts and fall under prevailing wage.
