Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist

Description MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks a Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team in Biddeford. The role provides psychiatric consultation to the medical/surgical units and is part of a well‑established Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry Service at Maine Medical Center in Portland. The position offers integration with the Portland‑based team, educational activities, interdisciplinary teaching, case conferences, quality improvement, and scholarly activities. It also provides academic collaboration with residency programs and medical‑school students, with the opportunity to teach. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an Allopathic or Osteopathic medical school; completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training. Current or eligible license as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligible for examination, documented as Board Certified or board‑eligible in general psychiatry. Current DEA registration certificate. Three or more years of experience inclusive of residency and/or fellowship training, preferred. Meet other credentialing criteria defined in medical staff by‑laws.
