Job Description The Underground Electrician will repair and maintain associated plant equipment for the mill in line with achieving our performance objectives. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair AC & DC circuits and control equipment Troubleshoot and repair single phase motors and three phase electrical systems Troubleshoot various input elements of control loops, including pressure, temperature, density, mass and flow measurement devices Troubleshoot various final control elements of control loops, including discrete and continuous devices Tune operation of control loops Perform PLC troubleshooting and correction Use of Megger, Multimeter, Rotation Meter, Power Quality Meter Troubleshoot Guided Wave and Non-Contacting Radar Troubleshoot and repair VFD Troubleshoot and maintain Soft Starts as well as Across the Line Able to use proper PPE, Arc Flash protection and FR rated clothing Familiarity with conveyor belts and their components Able to work on voltages up to 24.9K DC Other duties as required Qualifications On-the-job experience and vocational training Must adhere to the OceanaGold Code of Conduct Work may be conducted in outdoor settings including active mine areas with exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles Physically able to stand, sit, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds; manual dexterity; ability to climb stairs and ladders; work on elevated platforms; communicate effectively Ability to operate common vehicles and small 4x4 roving vehicles in off-road and adverse weather conditions Appropriate personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor setting, manufacturing, or plant environment HGM promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment including mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing Familiarization with NFPA 70E and the NEC Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Additional Information What\'s on offer: Competitive salary + short-term and long-term bonus Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, 401K, and more Great residential location close to Charlotte, SC Long service recognition Living Our Values recognition program In-office snack shop Monthly paid training available and professional development Supportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamwork Access to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP) You matter: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
