About the Role:
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking compassionate, organized Certified Medical Assistants to join our outpatient Family Medicine Clinic in Jamaica, NY. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure our patients receive exceptional care from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient schedules and prepare charts
- Perform patient triage and obtain vital signs
- Document clinical notes in EPIC accurately
- Assist with check-in/check-out and support physicians during exams
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Follow up with insurance for authorizations/referrals
- Provide coverage across multiple departments as needed
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- High school diploma (college preferred)
- EMR experience; EPIC preferred 2+ years of experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
