HVAC Filter Technician

Job Title

Follow a preventive maintenance schedule of changing all air conditioning filters throughout the district. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Basic knowledge of air conditioning and heating systems

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirement determined by supervisor

Major Responsibilities and Duties

1. Maintain a routine schedule of changing filters to ensure good air quality in all district facilities
2. Be flexible with work schedule to respond to emergencies at night and on weekends when needed.
3. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
4. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
5. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
6. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
7. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
8. Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
9. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
10. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
11. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
12. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
13. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
14. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
15. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
16. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Including but not limited to hand tools, small power tools, ladder

Working Conditions

Concentration while performing duties; ability to maintain emotional control at all times

Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting from 20-80 lbs.; inside and outside exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials; slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders

Terms: 230 days

Pay Grade: AUX 4
