Department: Building Maintenance- Athletics

Job Summary: Assists in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards.

Job Description: The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance, repair, and preventive-maintenance work to support the safe and efficient operation of Ole Miss Athletics facilities, equipment, and property.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains accurate records of inspections, work performed, preventive-maintenance activities, parts used, and service referrals.
• Assists with event-related facility preparation, setup, teardown, and repair needs for athletic competitions, practices, camps, and departmental events, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Supports a safe, clean, and functional environment for student-athletes, coaches, staff, guests, and visitors by following applicable safety procedures, University policies, and departmental standards.
• Collaborates with Athletics Facilities, University Facilities Management, contractors, and other campus partners to coordinate maintenance projects and address facility needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned in support of Ole Miss Athletics facilities and operations.

Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.

Compensation: $16.94 - $25.42
