Emergency Department RN

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care in a critical access hospital setting, focusing on emergency care. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, rural emergency department environment. Strong communication and clinical skills are essential, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide emergency nursing care including triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patients.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

• Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital emergency department.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Previous experience with electronic medical record systems.

• Night shift work from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Workload includes every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holiday rotation.
• Ability to work in a rural critical access hospital setting with diverse patient populations.

• 0.75 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), approximately 60 hours per bi-weekly pay period.
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Shift rotations include every third weekend and holiday coverage.
