Pediatrics Physician Assistant

Provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure and competency level. Performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures as appropriate.

• Join a collaborative neonatal care team as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant (PA) supporting an 18-bed newborn nursery at Evangelical Community Hospital.
• Enjoy exceptional work-life balance with 24-hour shifts averaging approximately two shifts per pay period.
• Provide comprehensive newborn care, including newborn rounding, admissions, patient assessments, care planning, triage, discharge education, and family-centered care.
• Attend deliveries and play an integral role in the care of healthy newborns from birth through discharge.
• Perform clinical procedures, including newborn circumcisions, while working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.
• Practice in a community hospital that welcomes approximately 650 births annually, offering meaningful clinical experience and continuity of care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital teams to deliver evidence-based neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner Required or
• Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant Required
• Masters Degree Physician Assistant Preferred

• 1 year Required

• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required

• BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
• Nurse Practitioner - board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification Upon Hire Required and
• Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners Upon Hire Required or
