Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or a group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, and document outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate care plans and discharge planning
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and support personnel as needed
- Provide patient and family education, promote safety, and support healing in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- ER nursing experience (emergency department) required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; RN degree (ADN or BSN) required
- Ability to work a night-shift schedule and participate in a travel assignment
