Position Summary

A forklift driver (often called a Warehouse Associate or Forklift Operator) is responsible for operating material-handling equipment to support daily warehouse operations such as shipping, receiving, and inventory movement.

Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other equipment to:
- Load and unload trucks
- Move, stack, and stage products
- Pick and replenish inventory
Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory
Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with:
- Labeling, packing, and repacking goods
- Inventory counts and stock rotation
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
At least 6 months of warehouse or logistics experience
Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one)
Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE)

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of forklift or warehouse experience
Experience with reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar equipment
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)

Skills & Abilities

Basic computer and scanner skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for counting and inventory
Good communication (English reading/writing/speaking)

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, and bending
Ability to lift 20-50 lbs
Work in warehouse conditions (can vary in temperature)

Work Environment

Warehouse/distribution setting
Moderate noise levels
Emphasis on safety and efficiency
