NU 4600 Neuro Stroke-Surg HFMH

Shift Hours:  Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Schedule:  Three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12), with  every other weekend  required.

Role Overview

As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will assist in patient care, respond to emergent situations, and contribute to the overall care plan. Your work directly supports our nursing team and enhances the patient experience.

• Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing, or
  • foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license,
  • or Medical Assistant program with or without experience,
  • or at least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT,
  • or similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Preferred

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
