$24 to $27/hour
Monday through Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract opportunity with a growing construction related organization in Phoenix. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in B2B receivables and is comfortable managing customer accounts, collections, billing, and lien waiver documentation. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast paced environment while supporting project accounting and customer account management.
What You'll Do
- Manage day to day accounts receivable activities for commercial and construction customers
- Generate, review, and process invoices to ensure accuracy and timely billing
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
- Prepare, review, and track conditional and unconditional lien waivers
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding payment status and required documentation
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues
- Apply cash receipts, reconcile customer accounts, and maintain accurate records
- Support collections efforts while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Assist with project closeout documentation and payment compliance requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding account activity and outstanding invoices
What You Bring
- 3+ years of recent accounts receivable experience, within construction, subcontracting, or project based environments
- Hands on experience processing and tracking lien waivers
- Understanding of construction billing, project accounting, and payment processes
- Experience with collections, cash applications, account reconciliations, and aging reports
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large volumes of data
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
