Sr. AbInitio DeveloperThis role is a 6 month contract position with our client- with the potential to become contract to hire. The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for building and maintaining data infrastructure and data integration. This includes ensuring high quality data is integrated both between internal applications as well as with our client's external partners. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for building and expanding an environment that supports data informed decision making.Responsibilities include:SQL developmentModel extensions to the existing Data WarehouseBuilds ETL components according to ETL specificationsCreate Dashboard pages and metrics within client's custom dashboard solutionResponsible for data integrity as well as the quality of data within Dashboard presentation layerSupport system and user acceptance testing activities, including issue resolutionComplete technical documentation to ensure system is fully documentedType of Education Required:Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer ScienceType of Experience and Number of Years:Enterprise Data Warehouse experience4+ years of experience SQL DevelopmentSSIS, Ab Initio a plusStrong ANSI SQL expertiseExperience developing SQL Objects, stored procedures, views, functionsExperience with SQL Server 2012Experience with Unix and Shell ScriptingGood knowledge of data modeling/Star SchemaAbility to develop and organize high-quality documentationExperience with at least one job schedulerKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong written and oral communications skillsProven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quicklyStrong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentAbility to quickly pick up new tools and technologiesWillingness and ability to train and teach othersAbility to facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action itemsAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentStrong presentation and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively move forward on tasks even with ambiguous or changing requirements
