This position is responsible for protecting product integrity from raw material through finished goods—ensuring every part leaving the plant meets exacting customer, regulatory, and internal standards. You'll be a key partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain, driving proactive quality systems, solving complex problems, and continuously improving processes that support high-volume automotive production. What Makes This Role Compelling:High visibility role with direct impact on product quality and customer satisfactionOpportunity to own processes, not just inspect themCollaborative environment where engineering, manufacturing, and quality work as one teamA culture that values continuous improvement, accountability, and safetyStable, long-term automotive manufacturing environment with global reachWhat You'll Do:Own plant-level quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and automotive regulationsConduct inspections and testing on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using measurement tools, gauges, and functional testsApply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor production performance, identify trends, and prevent defects before they occurLead root cause investigations using structured methodologies (8D, CAPA, fishbone, 5-Why) and drive sustainable corrective actionsDrive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and quality best practicesPartner with suppliers on quality performance, audits, corrective actions, and improvement initiativesSupport customer quality requirements, including issue resolution, documentation, and corrective action responsesMaintain quality documentation and metrics, including non-conformances, inspection records, control plans, and performance dashboardsTrain and support production teams on quality standards, procedures, and tools to build a strong quality culture on the floorChampion safety, compliance, and accountability across all quality-related activitiesWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality, or related)Several years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (required)Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans)Experience applying SPC, capability analysis, DOE, and data-driven quality techniquesProven ability to solve complex manufacturing problems and drive corrective/preventive actionsComfort working cross-functionally in a high-volume, fast-paced plant environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with operators, engineers, suppliers, and customersProficiency with quality and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and Microsoft Office
