Job Duties:

• Oversees and evaluates multiple Environmental Health programs inspections databases and operational activities to ensure compliance with public health regulations and achievement of regional program goals.
• Monitors inspection schedules productivity reports and compliance documentation to ensure required inspections and reporting activities are completed accurately and timely across the region.
• Serves as a liaison between regional field staff parish offices and Central Office administration to coordinate staffing operational priorities emergency response activities and environmental health initiatives.
• Provides guidance and technical expertise to staff public officials and citizens regarding public health laws sanitary code regulations environmental health standards and enforcement procedures.
• Supervises Environmental Health staff including Parish Managers and program coordinators by overseeing performance evaluations leave management staffing recommendations and employee development activities.
• Conducts field assessments and supports investigations related to complex environmental health issues infectious disease outbreaks environmental illnesses and emergency response operations.
• Assists with enforcement actions compliance conferences legal proceedings and public health hearings by preparing documentation coordinating with attorneys and providing expert testimony as needed.
