Fleet Associate

Are you a hands‑on problem solver who enjoys working with vehicles and supporting day‑to‑day operations? Total Recon is seeking a Fleet Associate to assist in managing vehicle operations, coordinating maintenance activities, and helping ensure efficient fleet performance. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment while supporting both drivers and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly. Typical work environment: desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Vehicle Management – Assist with vehicle check‑ins, inspections, and readiness to ensure top performance. Basic Maintenance & Upkeep – Conduct routine vehicle checks, clean interiors, and ensure all cars are road‑ready. Inventory & Documentation – Keep track of vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and key documentation. Fleet Coordination – Work closely with the service and operations teams to optimize fleet availability. Qualifications Required Passion for cars and mobility – You love keeping vehicles in top shape. Detail‑oriented & organized – You stay on top of schedules, paperwork, and vehicle conditions. Hands‑on & proactive – You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done. Strong communication skills – You work well with drivers, mechanics, and management. Valid driver’s license – You may need to move vehicles or assist with deliveries. Physical Demands Vehicle Handling: Regularly operate, move, and park vehicles of various sizes (sedans, SUVs, etc.) safely and efficiently. Inspection & Maintenance: Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, or reach to inspect vehicle interiors, tires, and undercarriages. Lifting & Carrying: Occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds, such as vehicle equipment, tools, or supplies. Outdoor Work: Work in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) when performing outdoor fleet tasks. Standing & Walking: Spend extended periods standing, walking between vehicles, and moving around the lot or service areas. Manual Dexterity: Use hands and tools to perform light maintenance or cleaning tasks as needed. Salary $18.00 - $22.00 per hour; depending on experience.
