Dietetic Technician

Minimum of 1 year of Dietetic Technician experience DTR certification (Dietetic Technician, Registered) High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of dietary guidelines and nutrition monitoring Ability to perform nutrition screenings and evaluations Strong communication skills for collaboration with RDs and RNs Effective time management and telephone communication skills Secondary (Good to Have): Experience using EPIC electronic health records (EHR) Experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting Familiarity with patient nutrition documentation and interdisciplinary communication POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Dietetic Technician to join a healthcare team in West Hollywood, California. The ideal candidate will assist with nutrition screenings and evaluations, monitor patients' food and nutritional intake, perform calorie counts, maintain accurate computerized documentation, and communicate nutrition-related information effectively with Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor patients' food intake and nutritional status. Perform calorie counts and document results accurately. Conduct nutrition screenings and evaluations as required. Communicate patient nutrition information and concerns to Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses. Maintain accurate and timely computerized documentation. Apply established dietary guidelines and nutrition protocols. Make telephone calls related to nutrition services and patient care coordination. Manage assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Support the clinical team in meeting patients' nutritional care needs.
