Job TitleCollision TechnicianJob DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesInspect vehicles and parts to determine preparation requirementsWash, clean, and degrease surfaces prior to sandingSand and feather-edge panels to create smooth surfacesRepair minor surface imperfections (chips, scratches, dents, rust spots)Mask and tape vehicles to protect non-painted areasMix and apply primers and sealersRemove dust, debris, and contaminants before paint applicationMaintain paint prep tools and equipmentFollow safety procedures and OSHA regulationsKeep work area clean and organizedRequirementsRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)1–2 years of automotive body or paint prep experience (preferred)Knowledge of sanding techniques, masking, and surface preparationFamiliarity with primers, sealers, and basic paint materialsAbility to operate sanding tools, grinders, and spray equipmentStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentGood hand-eye coordinationAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
