An employee in this position performs duties combating, extinguishing and preventing fires, as well as operating and maintaining fire department equipment and apparatus. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age with a valid Kansas Drivers License, high school diploma, or GED. Applications can be obtained at the City Office, 419 N. Broadway in Abilene, Ks or online at The position is open until filled.
