The Wiring Technician supports the assembly of mechanical and electrical components and assists in wiring control panels in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you wire components according to electrical schematics and production schedules while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Responsibilities

• Use basic hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, drills, and related equipment to support assembly and wiring tasks.

• Mount electrical components inside control panels in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.

• Wire electrical components and wire harnesses following electrical schematics and diagrams.

• Assist in wiring and assembling control panels to meet production schedules and project requirements.

• Read and interpret simple electrical schematics and diagrams as needed for panel wiring activities.

• Follow established production schedules to complete assigned tasks on time.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines, procedures, and best practices within the manufacturing warehouse environment.

• Use basic math and computer skills to support documentation, measurement, and simple data entry related to production work.

• Work independently to complete assigned tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

Essential Skills

• Comfortable using basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, wire cutters, and similar tools.

• Ability to operate basic power tools, such as drills, in a safe and controlled manner.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

• Basic math skills to support measurements and simple calculations in wiring and assembly tasks.

• Basic computer skills for simple documentation, data entry, or accessing work instructions.

• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. as part of routine material handling in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to follow electrical schematics and production instructions for wiring tasks.

• Capability to maintain an organized and safe work area in a warehouse setting.

• Enrollment in or completion of technical programs such as Electrical & Electronics Technology, Industrial Technology, Automation, or Mechatronics at a community college or vocational training program.

• Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting production schedules and quality expectations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
