DescriptionJOB PURPOSE:To manage the insurance procurement and renewal process for the company’s vendors.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyzing and maintaining vendor certificates of insurance for the company’s vendorsReview vendor insurance certificates of insurance and advise on any corrections necessary to comply with company policiesMonitor upcoming vendor insurance expirationsWork with local purchasing departments to ensure continuous complianceEngage with vendor insurance agents in furtherance of determining compliancePerform annual and quarterly trend reports and present findings to managementOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge and SkillsBeginning-to-intermediate knowledge of insurance policies preferred but not requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent people skills, with an ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organizationSolid organizational and project-management skillsAbility to gather and analyze information from multiple sourcesFlexible and able to multi-task and establish priorities; can work within a fast-moving environmentWillingness to communicate by phone and email for majority of the workdayAbility to consistently meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business-related softwareValid driver’s license or other identificationEducation & Work ExperienceHigh School Diploma required; college degree preferredTwo years of experience with insurance products and compliance is preferredPrior homebuilding industry experience preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing their essential functions of this job.
