DevOps EngineerLocation: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)Duration: 12 monthsRole OverviewWe are seeking an Application Architect to define and implement models for hands-free Java application releases. This role focuses on defining how solutions should be built rather than directly building them. As a member of a small team, you will establish standard models for new Java applications to implement hands-free deployment as the new default process.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement standard models for hands-free Java application release processes.Establish automated CI/CD processing, smoke testing, approval, and production deployment procedures.Script automated flows beyond CI/CD using tools like Cutover.Engage with client teams to document requirements and resolve issues.Formulate standard patterns and processes for blue/green and canary style releases.Manage complexities related to database and configuration transition during releases.Oversee automated validation and testing procedures.Required QualificationsTechnical Skills:Experience with CI/CD processes and tooling, such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and OpenShift.Proficiency with automation coordination execution tools, particularly Cutover.Experience in deploying and releasing small to complex Java applications.Knowledge of container and VM deployments.Familiarity with automated testing methodologies.Understanding of traffic management during application releases.Technical proficiency in DevOps and Python.Preferred QualificationsJava application development experience.Experience in Production Support, Performance Testing, Functional Test Automation, or Database Management.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
