Physical Therapist AssistantCitizens Health is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to work full-time in our Rehab department.Our Mission: Enhancing the lives of those we serve.About Us: Citizens Health is a community based, private, not-for-profit organization. It is comprised of:Citizens Medical Center - a 25 bed critical access hospital,Family Center for Health Care - an outpatient rural health clinic,Prairie Senior - a skilled nursing facility,Citizens Clubhouse - an onsite childcare center that cares for children 6 weeks to school age for our workforce,Citizens Medical Equipment - our durable medical equipment business,Palace Drug Store - our outpatient pharmacy.We strive to be progressive, dependable and knowledgeable, while providing compassionate, evidence-based care to the residents of northwest Kansas.Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, KsPosition Information:The Certified Physical Therapist Assistant, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, performs direct patient care activities using a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination and body alignment, to relieve pain and to improve movement and function.Physical Therapist Assistant will report to the Rehabilitation Department Manager.Days/Hours: Outpatient Clinic hours 7AM to 6PMPay Range: Dependent upon experienceJOB QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant and eligible for licensure with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.Required Certification/Registration: Must have current license, certification or registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.What you'll do:Provide physical therapy treatments to patients according to the plan of care developed by the Physical Therapist.Assist the Physical Therapist when performing test, evaluations and complex treatment procedures.Complete necessary documentation of patient conditions, reactions and responses to treatment in accordance with standards of practice.Assist the Physical Therapist in communicating with physicians, departmental/hospital personnel and family members, as needed, regarding patient progress, problems and plans.Assure the continued growth and improvement of the rehabilitation Services Department.Attend and participate in required departmental meetings, and other meetings as instructed by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.Attend continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities.
