Job Title: Sales Associate Company: BD Provisions Severna Park Work Setting/Location: In-Office City/State: Severna Park Salary/Pay Range: $15 to $20 Employment Type: Part Time Overview Join our growing family at BD Provisions, one of the hottest new stores in Fairfield County! We are a bulk food store that sells hundreds of specialty goods by the pound and delights customers with our unique concept and outstanding customer service. Dynamic environment, high growth potential and a competitive salary. Responsibilities A Retail Sales Associate/Key Holder is responsible for all sales activities and sales associate duties, including greeting customers, answering questions, offering assistance, suggesting items, lending opinions and providing product information. Demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills, keep the selling floor stocked with merchandise, assist in display of merchandise or organizing the selling floor and stock areas. As a Key Holder you may also be asked to open or close the store a few days each week. Process payments by totaling purchases and handling checks, cash, and store or other credit cards. Manage customer refunds courteously and professionally. Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting the store’s commitment to customers. Qualifications Minimum of Associates Degree. Prior retail sales experience preferred. Job Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Comfortable opening and/or closing the store when needed. Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision. Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
