Inventory Associate I

Location: Orlando, FL Type: Contract / On-Site Schedule: D-shift, Monday through Friday 12 HRS 6PM-6:30 AM Pay Rate starts at $28 per hour - Salary

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating, monitoring, and escalating roadblocks that could cause downstream defects.
• Operate heavy equipment including PIT equipment/forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks, ensuring safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
• Receive shipments by unloading deliveries from carriers and inspecting packages for compliance with SOP standards.
• Perform quality control checks on incoming parts, reviewing requirements and processing accordingly.
• Document receipts and work orders using appropriate tools, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
• Navigate inventory management systems to input data, read information, and manage inventory modules effectively.
• Identify and apply proper packaging methods for parts, ensuring secure storage and workflow integrity.
• Sort, stage, and move packages or storage containers, securing items to prevent loss during operations.
• Label and mark parts with identifiers as outlined in SOPs for proper tracking and analysis.
• Assign storage locations and perform audits to ensure proper storage practices are followed, maintaining inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience in fulfillment operations, including inventory counting, receiving, and packing.
• Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material experience.
• Experience with receiving, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping inventory.
• Willingness to drive a forklift with training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Fundamental knowledge of operating heavy equipment such as PIT equipment, forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting shipments and performing quality control checks.
• Proficiency in data entry and navigating inventory management tools.
• Ability to identify appropriate packaging and ensure proper labeling and storage of parts.
• Good judgment and adherence to SOPs for storage and inventory audits.
