Registered Nurse(RN) Fall Care Coordinator
Job Description
The Registered Nurse(RN) Fall Care Coordinator is responsible for the falls prevention program that is based on national standards, evidence-based practice, and outcomes research in accordance with the scope of practice. Primary responsibilities for this position include systematic evaluation of current practice, development, coordination, and management of Falls Prevention Program throughout the facility. Serves as a consultant for problem resolution across service/discipline lines. Maintains flexibility with a high degree of interpersonal skills, effective communication, leadership, motivation, self-direction, and ongoing evaluation of activities. Utilizes the nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality and safe care of Veterans evidenced by comprehensive management of patient safety standards and best practices. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
