The facility features a 16-bed department with strong support staff to assist with call coverage, providing an excellent environment for delivering high-quality patient care.

Physician - Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity providing rounding and call coverage in a 16-bed critical care department
• Support staff will assist with call coverage during daytime hours
• Shifts available as 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Board Eligible within 5 years of Residency required
• Active Arkansas medical license required
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Preferred skills include ventilation management, both invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy) and non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Preferred procedural skills include chest tube insertion and bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL)
• Preferred skills include evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Preferred procedural skills include insertion of central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
• Preferred skills include ICP evaluation and management, dialysis catheter placement, and temporary placement
• Preferred diagnostic and therapeutic tap skills including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Nearest airport is Fort Smith Regional Airport with lodging accommodations available at Homewood Suites
