Laboratory - MLT

Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Technician (MLT), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a backfill position in the laboratory. This role will involve performing various laboratory tests and procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to Universal Precautions standards and comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintain dependability and responsibility through consistent attendance and punctuality, while following instructions accurately.
• Perform venipuncture skills effectively.
• Conduct daily quality control and maintenance following established guidelines.
• Complete testing in a timely and precise manner.
• Operate and troubleshoot Chemistry, Urinalysis (UA), Hematology, and Coagulation analyzers.
• Conduct Blood Bank Testing including typing, RH, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and quality control.
• Perform miscellaneous testing such as serological/micro testing and microscopic analysis.
• Exhibit courtesy and professionalism in communication with patients, lab staff, physicians, and other employees.
• Share important information with co-workers and supervisors to ensure quality of performance and conduct.

Qualifications

• Certification from ASCP or AMT must be held at the time of submission.
• Experience in blood bank procedures is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cerner as an electronic medical record (EMR) system is preferred.
• Ability to wear any color scrubs as required.

Work Schedule

This position requires a night shift, specifically from 7 PM to 7 AM. There is no on-call requirement.
