OT - Occupational Therapist

Occupational Hand Therapist (CHT) - 13 Weeks, Outpatient

The Occupational Hand Therapist (CHT) will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes overseeing all therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The CHT will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensively evaluate assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to create appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs, providing positive learning environments and completing evaluations.
• Create an individualized professional development plan, actively pursuing growth through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Maintain professional licensure and adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory agencies.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of services.

Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule of 5 eight-hour days or 4 ten-hour days, starting September 1st.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or eligible to sit for CHT exam.
• A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1-2 years of outpatient clinical experience required.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
