Job Description
The Matrimonial Legal Assistant/Paralegal supports attorneys specializing in matrimonial, family, and divorce law by managing case documents, client communication, and legal research. This fully in-office role requires hands-on experience with family law matters and offers a convenient location within walking distance to MetroNorth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize legal documents related to matrimonial cases
- Assist attorneys with case management and client correspondence
- Conduct legal research and gather necessary information for cases
- Coordinate meetings, hearings, and appointments with clients and courts
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive family law issues with discretion
- Manage deadlines and filing requirements for divorce and family law proceedings
Required Qualifications
- Experience in matrimonial, family law, or divorce law
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work fully in office
