WINTER COHORT STARTS - February, 2027

ABOUT THE OPERATIONS ANALYST PROGRAM

The Operations Analyst Program is an early-career development opportunity for driven recent and soon-to-be graduates who want to launch a career at the intersection of investment management, operations, data, and technology. Analysts use analytical, technical, and collaborative skills to help deliver operational excellence, solve business challenges, and improve outcomes for clients.

As investment operations evolve through data, automation, and AI, analysts gain hands-on experience supporting business-critical investment processes while helping identify opportunities to improve how work gets done. Through ownership of operational processes and exposure to continuous improvement, data analytics, automation, workflow design, and AI, analysts strengthen controls, improve decision-making, and contribute to scalable solutions that support clients and business growth.

Over three weeks, Analysts begin as a cohort with an immersion in Parametric's investment strategies, operating model, and Operations organization. Following onboarding, analysts join teams supporting Market, Client, or Control functions, where they develop domain expertise, learn business-critical workflows, and build an end-to-end understanding of how Operations supports clients, portfolios, risk management, and business growth.

Operations teams are responsible for the execution, oversight, servicing, and control activities that support the investment lifecycle. Analysts work closely with teammates and stakeholders across the organization to execute processes accurately, resolve operational challenges, improve controls, and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

In addition to their core team responsibilities, analysts may collaborate with specialized teams within Operations focused on process transformation, analytics, workflow modernization, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. Partnering with subject matter experts across Market, Client, and Control functions to identify opportunities, redesign processes, and implement scalable improvements that enhance operational effectiveness. Through this partnership, analysts may gain exposure to transformation initiatives while continuing to build deep operational expertise.

The program is designed for people who are curious about how businesses operate, motivated to improve processes, and eager to continue learning. As business needs evolve, analysts may gain exposure to different Operations functions, participate in cross-functional initiatives, or contribute to transformation efforts, broadening their knowledge, experience, and skill sets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AND LEARN

  • Learn Parametric's investment strategies, operating model, and business-critical Operations workflows, and understand how Market, Client, and Control functions support clients, portfolios, risk management, and business growth.

  • Learn and execute business-critical investment operations workflows accurately and on time. Responsibilities may include activities such as cash and position reconciliation, trade lifecycle support, client servicing, corporate actions, account onboarding and maintenance, contracts, oversight activities, and billing, depending on team assignment.

  • Develop an end-to-end understanding of assigned processes, including activities, decisions, systems, data flows, controls, handoffs, and upstream and downstream dependencies.

  • Investigate exceptions, breaks, recurring operational issues, and client-impacting events using structured problem-solving and data analysis. Identify root causes, assess impacts, and recommend sustainable solutions.

  • Partner with Operations teams, portfolio managers, traders, sales, product management, technology teams, external providers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, improve handoffs, and support business priorities.

  • Perform quality control and verification activities, maintain accurate records and documentation, and help ensure operational processes meet established policies, procedures, and control standards.

  • Analyze operational and investment data to identify patterns, anomalies, trends, bottlenecks, and emerging risks. Build reports, dashboards, or analytical tools that turn data into actionable insights and improvement opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or redesign workflows and contribute to process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and adoption activities.

  • Collaborate with Automation, Reinvention & Collaboration (ARC) and other partners on process-improvement initiatives, workflow modernization efforts, analytics projects, automation solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities.

  • Use or learn tools such as Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, workflow automation platforms, process-modeling tools, and approved AI solutions, as appropriate to the assignment.

  • Contribute to operational excellence, analytics, automation, or process-improvement initiatives and present findings, recommendations, and outcomes to team members and business partners.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Associate or bachelor's degree completed by the program start date. Relevant fields may include industrial, process, or systems engineering; operations research; supply chain; data science or analytics; computer science; information systems; mathematics; statistics; finance; accounting; economics; or a related analytical, business, or technical field. Candidates from other majors with relevant quantitative, technical, or process-improvement experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous issues, work with data, identify root causes, and form well-supported conclusions.

  • A systems-thinking and continuous-improvement mindset, including curiosity about how people, processes, data, controls, and technology interact end to end and a desire to make work simpler, more accurate, efficient, scalable, and controlled.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality, sound judgment, risk awareness, responsible use of data and technology, and positive client outcomes.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders and communicate complex ideas in a clear and organized manner.

  • Ownership, learning agility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

  • Experience using spreadsheets to organize and analyze information and communicate findings, or the ability to learn quickly.

  • Strong interest in building a career at the intersection of investment management, operations, process improvement, data, and technology.

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) by the program start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework, internships, or project experience involving process mapping, continuous improvement, business analysis, data analysis, automation, workflow design, programming, analytics, or AI.
