As a Hospitality Associate, you'll be one of the first people our guests interact with. From greeting guests and taking orders to delivering food and maintaining a welcoming dining room, you'll play a key role in creating the genuine hospitality that sets Old Carolina Barbecue Company apart.

Old Carolina Barbecue Company was built on a passion for authentic barbecue and a commitment to great hospitality. Before opening our first restaurant in Massillon, Ohio, we started as a competitive BBQ team dedicated to perfecting the craft of slow-smoked barbecue.

While our home is in North Canton, Ohio, our recipes, traditions, and cooking techniques are inspired by the rich barbecue heritage of the Carolinas. Today, Old Carolina Barbecue Company proudly operates eight locations throughout Northeast Ohio and Pennsylvania, serving authentic BBQ made with quality ingredients, time-honored methods, and a genuine commitment to our guests.

As a Hospitality Associate, you'll learn valuable guest service, communication, teamwork, and restaurant operations skills while working in a fast-paced and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities
Guest
Hospitality
• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming

atmosphere
• Explain menu items, cooking methods, and specials
• Take guest orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide recommendations and suggestive selling when appropriate
• Deliver exceptional guest service during every interaction
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly when needed
Front Counter Operations
• Process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately
• Operate point-of-sale systems and follow cash handling procedures
• Ensure orders are entered accurately and completely
• Coordinate with kitchen team members to support smooth service
Food
Delivery & Expediting
• Expedite guest orders accurately and efficiently
• Deliver dine-in and carryout orders to guests
• Verify order accuracy before serving guests
• Help ensure timely service and a positive guest experience
Dining Room & Restaurant Maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room
• Bus and clean tables as needed
• Restock beverage, condiment, and dining room stations
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and overall restaurant appearance
• Complete assigned cleaning and sanitation tasks
Food Safety & Compliance
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health

department requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Strong attention to detail
• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday

Work Schedule

This position may be offered as either full-time or part-time based on business needs and candidate availability. Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons,

evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
