AI is about to flood the market with new drug candidates. Clinical research sites, responsible for conducting trials, are the bottleneck to FDA approval. Their back-office operations are often manual, fragmented, and incredibly complex.

We’re rebuilding the entire back-office from the ground up to help sites focus on their core mission: advancing life-saving research.

Our AI agents manage millions of dollars in trial budgets. They structure unstructured data, determine what sites are owed, and recover it.

We were founded by operators behind the Robinhood Gold Card: David, who led bizops at Standard Fleet and X1 (acquired by Robinhood), and Vijay, a Georgia Tech AI PhD who previously worked at X1, Google, and Twitter.

This is the same problem we ran at X1 & Robinhood. Reconciling what was owed against what actually moved, at scale, with money on the line. We're doing it again here, for clinical research.

We just closed a seed round (announcing soon) and we're hiring our founding team.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid role based in the East Bay. Office opening soon. You'll report directly to David, our CEO. 

This is a rare early operating role with a key mandate: own the post-sales lifecycle as the operator orchestrating our AI agents, software, and the judgment calls in between. 

We're looking for someone who acts like an owner, wants to modernize healthcare infrastructure, and thrives on a customer call.

The work today is reconciliation. You match what sponsors and CROs paid against what sites are owed, find the gaps, and recover the money. Some of that our agents do. Some you do. Our job is to automate it. As the product gets better, the manual work shrinks and your role changes with it: deeper with customers, into implementations, broader customer success, wherever the need is.

Responsibilities

• Receive customers right after signature. Work with sales on the handoff so you know the use case, the success criteria, and what they expect. Get them connected to our systems and partner with engineering on integrations.
• Do the reconciliation work. Match payments against the CTA and budget, orchestrate our AI agents to do the heavy lifting, and apply your own judgment where the product isn't automated yet.
• Take anomalies to the root cause. When a payment doesn't match what the site is owed, you query the data, trace what happened, and figure out why. You don't wait for engineering to dig for you.
• Audit the work for accuracy before it reaches the customer. Money moves through this product.
• Be the voice of the customer in the product. Feed what you see in delivery back into the roadmap.

Qualifications

• B.S. in finance, computer science, or related field
• 2+ years experience at a place that drilled rigor into you (banking, consulting, intense startup)
• Experience supporting or leading elements of customer success (integrations, post-sales, etc).

You'll do well here if you:

• Can take a vague problem like "the numbers don't tie out" and drive it to clarity yourself, without needing engineering to do the digging for you.
• Figure things out without a playbook. Most of what you'll work on this year doesn't have one yet.
• Are obsessive about accuracy. Money moves through this product, and being almost-right is the same as being wrong.
• Write exceptionally well. Most of this job is customer emails, escalations, and internal docs others will act on.
• Have real customer empathy. You take the time to understand the customer's world before you start solving their problem.
• Move with urgency. Every second counts
• Treat AI as leverage, not a substitute. You're thoughtful about what to delegate and what to double-check before it goes out the door.

Bonus, not required: experience in fintech, healthcare, or anywhere else being wrong has a dollar amount attached.
