Accounting Specialist

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist with 1–3 years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational skills, and is eager to grow within the accounting field. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments Generate and send customer invoices and follow up on outstanding balances Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies General Accounting Support Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Reconciliations & Reporting Perform bank and account reconciliations Research and resolve variances or discrepancies Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis for management Data Entry & System Maintenance Enter financial data into accounting systems with high accuracy Maintain and update accounting records and files Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal departments (HR, operations, procurement) to resolve billing or expense issues Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders Qualifications Education & Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Berlin, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
