Hospital Medical Leader or Associate Veterinarian

Position Overview Hospital Medical Leader or Associate Veterinarian at Petco Total Care Hospital. Part‑time opportunities are also available. Responsibilities Ensure the highest level of patient care and client experience, drive continuous improvement in clinical skills and cultivate a supportive, respectful, and collaborative work culture where all people feel welcome. Review hospital P&L and partner with medical and operations field leaders to drive hospital performance, efficiency and exceptional care quality. Oversee the hospital’s clinical care, including routine, diagnostic and complex procedures such as radiographs, ultrasounds, dental extractions, prophylaxis, spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory and mass removals. Utilize the hospital’s advanced technology and digital practice management tools to deliver the highest standards of care. Build relationships with pet parents and model respect and empathy. Participate in local medical directors’ support, veterinary technicians and assistants, flexible schedules, open time off, and no on‑call shifts. Qualifications Licensed veterinarian with a demonstrated record of clinical practice and leadership. Experience managing and driving performance of a veterinary hospital or similar environment. Proficiency with veterinary practice management and diagnostics technology. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
