Social Worker | Flint, Michigan

Make a direct impact in educational communities near Flint, MI as a School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract position provides the opportunity to work with students from PreK through 12th grade across various school sites (itinerant), fostering student growth and wellbeing through direct services and collaborative teamwork.


Key Qualifications:

• Michigan School Social Worker Certification (required)
• Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW required)
• Experience with PreK-12th grade caseloads is highly valued
• Ability to develop and assist with behavior intervention plans
• Skilled in conducting social-emotional and behavioral evaluations
• Adept at collaborating with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Competent in participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services to a diverse caseload of students across multiple grade levels
• Support and implement individualized behavior plans
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to inform educational planning
• Attend and contribute meaningfully to IEP meetings and team collaborations
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff to address a variety of needs
• Serve as a resource for teachers seeking guidance on student social-emotional concerns

Compensation for this position ranges from $40 to $47 per hour. Qualified candidates may also be eligible for comprehensive healthcare benefits, as well as housing and daily meal stipends for the assignment. Detailed healthcare plan information will be provided following application.
