CM Mechanical Engineer HVAC

Overview Davenergy Solutions is a rapidly growing, profitable company headquartered in San Diego, CA. This opportunity is for a full-time Mechanical Engineer/HVAC role providing on-site Construction Facilities Management (CFM) support at the Columbia VA Medical Center in Columbia, MO. The role supports renovation, sustainment, and small construction projects within an active VA medical facility by providing technical engineering support and coordination in support of Government requirements. Role Position: Mechanical Engineer/HVAC (CM-M) on-site at a VA medical facility Location: Columbia, MO Type: Full-time Responsibilities Provide full-time on-site mechanical engineering support at an occupied VA medical facility. Apply knowledge of federal construction processes and VA standards and guidelines. Support mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and related building infrastructure. Review construction documents, contractor submittals, RFIs/RFCs, schedules, and proposed changes; provide technical recommendations to the Government COR. Support site observations, identify mechanical deficiencies, discrepancies, and non-conforming work. Support scope related to schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk for mechanical systems. Maintain project documentation including inspection reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation. Participate in project meetings, site walks, and coordination with contractors, designers, and Government stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with VA or federal construction management systems preferred. Work on-site 40 hours per week; occasional adjusted hours may be required. Qualifications Experience providing mechanical engineering support for healthcare, VA, or federally funded construction projects. Experience supporting renovation, sustainment, and small construction efforts. Experience working within occupied medical facilities. Prior VA, VISN, or other federal healthcare facility experience strongly preferred. Ability to quickly understand and master local state and federal jurisdiction requirements relevant to the project. Strong communication, language, and software skills; ability to utilize various software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products with computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with VA or federal construction management systems is preferred. Ability to work on-site 40 hours per week with potential adjusted hours to support project needs. Education Licensed professional Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in HVAC from an accredited institution. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in both design and construction.
