The Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work primarily on passenger cars and light trucks. Working as part of a small team, the technician will use a variety of tools and advanced diagnostic software to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Occasional travel may be required for on-site repairs, and effective communication with customers is key to providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using standard workshop tools and advanced diagnostic software.
- Inspect and repair brake systems to ensure vehicle safety.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid future breakdowns.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair progress.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Replace parts as needed, ensuring quality and compatibility.
- Conduct test drives to verify successful repairs.
- Occasionally travel to perform on-site repairs.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in automotive repair.
- Expertise in brake repair.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate well within a team.
